First Day at The New School.
10th January 1956.
|
|
These two pictures are thought to be press photographs, possibly "Salford City Reporter",
taken on the day that the New School at Claremont opened its doors for business.
|
|
Pupils rushing through the doors on the
10th January 1956, although it is not clear whether the apparent eagerness is due to a keeness to learn in the new surroundings or just to escape the snow and slush of a Salford winter ! |
|
More keen pupils queueing at the
doors of the New School on opening
day.
The only pupils definitely identified
are :-
Extreme left: Ron Pybus.
Front row left of the bicycle
handlebars: Ian Hubbard. |
