The 87th Annual Dinner was held at the Willows Restaurant, Weaste Lane, Salford, on the 2nd April 2009.
Approximately 130 Old Sals were present to hear Jim Porter propose the toast to the School and Jon Wall,
the toast to the Assoiation.
Jim Porter, was School Captain 1946-47 and has since followed a distinguished career in education. Jon Wall
is the son of the late Malcome Wall, for many years Secretary and staunch supporter of the Association. Jon is Commisioning Editor of BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC 5 Live Sports Extra and will shortly be moving back to the north west when Radio 5 Live relocate to Salford Keys. |

An SGS 'Report Book' has come into the Association's possession. It is not known
what 'Reports' were originally entered in this book although it is suspected that they were of a disiplinary nature.
The custom of 'signing in' at the Dinner was revived this year and the Report Book
was used for this purpose.
