Tweny one members turned out on Monday the 9th May 2005 to compete for the Malcolm Wall Trophy. This
year the event was held at Swinton Park Golf Club and although the day was sunny with a cold blustery wind, the course was pretty wet following heavy weekend rain. |

Local knowledge proved to be very useful as the
winner, once again, was Trevor Laverick playing on his home course.
Several members have won the Malcom Wall Trophy
twice but this is the first time anyone has won it in consecutive years, so many congratulations to Trevor.
The minor prizes were won by John Rumbelow, on a
card playoff from Dave Ramsbottom and the nearest the pin prizes went to Keith Ball and Keith Livesley, making his first and probably his last appearance as he is soon to emigrate to Tasmania.
The autumn meeting will be held at Sale Golf Club
on Monday the 5th September 2005. We assemble
for soup and sandwiches at 12-30, tee off at 1-30 and round off the day with a Dinner and Presentation at approx 7-00pm. |
