The School made many trips to the Lake District and Borrowdale was a favourite location.In the early 50's the hostel "Glamarara", at Seatoller, was the destination but this intrepid bunch of fellwalkers,c1967, made Thorneythwaite Farm,Borrowdale,their base camp.
